Street Fighter! Whore!
Thursday, June 5th, 2008I think I’ve used that one somewhere before, but never mind. Because I’ve got the Street Fighter IV moveslist! In my hand, all printed out. Which is awesome. Most of the moves are what you’d expect from returning characters, there don’t seem to be any changes in how you do them, just how they look.
Abel seems pretty cool with a roll, a multipart attack and his command throw, though El Fuerte looks to be a bit mad with his running moves - he can run back or forward and then do lots of different attacks which sound like throws. Rufus has a move that sucks enemies towards him and C Viper has a dash punch, a special kick and a ground pound.
The brilliant thing is though this moves list doesn’t have everything. From what I’ve just learned is that there are a few more special moves for certain characters, such as an evade move for Dhalsim that dodges fireballs (not the yoga teleport, something else), Bison might have a fake teleport that if he’s hit during it he recovers some health, Vega can throw his mask and claws down (dunno why though), Blanka has a move that useful crossing up opponents on their wake up and El Fuerte might have around 12 different moves he can do off his running move. Some of this is a wee bit sketchy so don’t take it as gospel – but it’s from a good source, trust me.
And so to Seth. He’s the boss. Going by the scans of Famitsu’s latest coverage Seth looks a lot like Urien from SFIII and has similar moves, of course the boss from SFIII and Urien’s brother, Gill, has similar moves but he’s a cheap bastard (that Resurrection and the big rainbow thing, Seraphic Wing, were annoying) so I’m ignoring him. This leaves Seth open to possibly use both of their attacks and if you’ve ever seen a good Urien player do his stuff then you’ll know he can be very destructive. Unfortunately we don’t have screens shots of him yet - but here’s some lovely art!

Street Fighter, STREET FIGHTER! IV!
Tuesday, May 27th, 2008I’m so bloody excited about Street Fighter IV. So it’s annoying that Capcom is having a Gamers Day in Las Vegas this week and I won’t be there. You just know Capcom is going to announce what platforms SF IV will be coming to and when at this event, so hopefully we’ll find out by the end of the week after embargos have been lifted and all that. In the meantime here’s some pics of the bosses because they look f—ing cool.
